Boy, do we have a “Social Security” cast!

Good job director Clinton Vidal! He had some difficult decisions to make for casting our new Fall 2018 production of “Social Security” written by Andrew Bergman. Rehearsals begin in Sept and the show opens in Oct for our 54th season! I can’t believe I have been involved with this zany group for 37 years! Yikes. I must love it but I am always looking for a passionate and dedicated person to relieve me of Publicity responsibilities or Costume Design. But, no luck yet. So, my helpers Donna Worthington, Donna Telepak, Natasha Harris and Carol Berman are checking their busy schedules to help me with measurements, or sewing, or mending and the multiple tasks coming up very soon.

I absolutely love this part of the production. The chaos, then order! All of the design decisions are now being discussed since we now have a cast. Costume ideas, set design, Prop needs, Backstage needs, set colors, set dressing, lighting and sound techniques, and organizing our production teams to get our calendars in sinc for deadlines. Before you know it, beautiful Publicity Photos with our talented photographer Joe Messina Photography happen and we are zipping along through rehearsals to the Opening Night Champagne Gala. Friends, family, invited Reviewers, ARTY judges will join us in the celebration of our 54th year of entertaining our loyal fans! The cast gives a tremendous amount of their time to execute their gifts to the audiences. I adore the actors! I’ve said for years, audiences do not come to see what they are wearing or sitting on, but the actors are the “class” act. Get your tickets, or better yet,  get your groups together soon (Sept 1 online tickets are available)- that way, you have reserved seating. Otherwise, it is first come, first served  for seating. But maybe you like being in the back row since it is closest to the bar in case you get thirsty…see you there, dyanne
