Ticket sales alone do not cover a season
Benicia Theatre Group has been staging plays in this town since 1964, and we do it with volunteers. Nobody here draws a salary. What ticket sales cover is only part of what a production actually costs.
Donations pay for the things an audience never sees: royalties and script licensing, lumber and paint for the set, lighting and sound equipment, costumes, and the rent on the hall itself. Every dollar goes straight back onto the stage.
