A Month of Theatre, Art and Fundraising

BENICIA, Calif. — Oct. 1, 2026 — Benicia Theatre Group (BTG) is filling the Historic BDES Hall with laughter, creativity and community this October, with four special fundraisers and the opening of Ray Cooney’s fast-paced comedy Run For Your Wife.

From painting and bingo to indigo dyeing, the fundraising series offers several ways to enjoy the theatre while supporting BTG and its mission to keep live community theatre thriving in Benicia.

October fundraising events include:

  • Paint N’ Sip — Friday, Oct. 9, 7–9 p.m.
  • Paint N’ Sip — Saturday, Oct. 10, 7–9 p.m.
  • Bingo Night — Sunday, Oct. 18, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
  • Indigo Dye Workshop — Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

All four fundraisers are $35 per person and include one complimentary drink. Paint N’ Sip guests receive a glass of wine, Bingo guests can choose beer or wine, and the Indigo Dye Workshop includes a mimosa or coffee drink. Proceeds benefit Benicia Theatre Group and help support the costs of producing live theatre in the community.

At the center of the month is BTG’s newest production, Ray Cooney’s Run For Your Wife, opening Friday, Oct. 16 and directed by Clinton Vidal.

The fast-paced British farce follows London cab driver John Smith, who has somehow managed to maintain two wives, two homes and one very complicated schedule—until an unexpected turn of events threatens to bring his carefully constructed double life crashing down.

Run For Your Wife runs Oct. 16 through Nov. 8, with Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

All fundraising events and performances take place at the Historic BDES Hall, 140 West J Street in Benicia.
